POSITION: Funding Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY: Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Funding Specialist to research, pursue, and administer the use of EPA (including State Revolving Loan funds), USDA, DCEO, CDBG, WIFIA, and other funds for planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, stormwater, transportation, and energy efficiency projects in Illinois, Wisconsin, Florida, and Texas.
We are seeking qualified applicants to work remotely or in any of our Illinois offices.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Prepare funding assistance proposals as requested.
- Prepare preliminary design reports, funding nomination forms, project plans, and funding applications per the requirements of the applicable funding programs.
- Coordinate with engineering to obtain information to complete preliminary design reports, funding nomination forms, project plans, and funding applications.
- Advise project team on application process and schedules.
- Review plans and specs and provide advice when necessary to ensure compliance with loan requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of available funding opportunities.
- Assist with tracking B&Ws applications throughout the application and award process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree preferred.
- 4 years of experience with loan and grant programs in Illinois.
- Ability to independently handle a variety of ongoing tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Grant writing certification is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
