SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports to the corresponding Quality Assurance Receipt Supervisor and is responsible for completing all duties and tasks assigned to them before their normal work shift ends.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIEMENT REQUIRED
- Use of earplugs at all times.
- Must wear slip resistant steel toed boots.
- Must wear hair nets and smocks while in designated areas.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing physical and analytical testing to verify conformance to standards of incoming raw materials, and packaging materials
- Evaluate attributes including, but not limited to taste, color, odor and texture
- Determine weights, temperatures, physical dimensions, etc of raw materials
- Maintain an organized system of files and documents
- Performing other daily quality assurance functions.
- Responsible for CCP review and quality safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year accredited college or university preferred or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 1-2 years experience in this required field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Employee must be able to read, write, communicate and comprehend Basic English. Employee must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos and simple correspondence in English.
Employee must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must be able to lift up to 40lbs. Must have basic computer skills.
