As a Medical Assistant, you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the leadership team of your facility to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Works as part of the intake team to ensure clients are seen promptly.
- Obtain medical history.
- Complete medical screening tests.
- Maintain medical records and financial assistance programs.
- The ability to work with non-traditional ways of teaching treatment.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks needing to be done in a timely manner.
- Maintain the medical records of all patients including maintaining medical records of payments and insurance information.
- Assess clients’ physical conditions, which includes seeking physical examinations and obtaining lab results, and evaluating medical conditions utilizing various testing methods.
- Assists in teaching clients with basic drug-free lifestyle programs (exercises, nutrition, etc.)to improve their health and safety.
- Otherwise perform various duties as assigned
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience and Education
- Medical Assistant Certification or equivalent degree required. Degree in Human Services, Medical or related field preferred. Additional experience or education in addiction services and/or medical assistant experience preferred.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
