Job Summary
Performs a variety of routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis as a member of a team, responsible for total cleaning of the facility in compliance with sanitation standards for licensure.
Reports To: Administrator
Essential Job Duties
- Stocks cart with cleaning equipment, supplies, and trash receptacle ensuring that all chemicals are labeled and supplies are replenished according to job assignment guidelines.
- Follows cleaning schedule abiding by Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling and cleaning agent use policies and procedures.
- Cleans resident rooms including furniture, floors, walls, sill, closets, showers, and doors.
- Cleans resident toilets (inside and out), sinks (inside and out), mirrors and soap dispensers.
- Refills soap dispensers, towel dispensers, towel dispensers and replenish toilet paper.
- Inspects for and reports soiled carpet in commons area or resident rooms. Responsible for cleaning carpet with facility machine.
- Empties wastebaskets from both bathrooms and resident rooms, replacing with clean plastic bag and one extra bag at the bottom of the wastebasket
- Cleans hallway handrails, window ledges and light switches daily. Dusts ceilings and upper walls.
- Inspects hallway floors, walls, ceilings, waste containers and laundry containers and cleans as needed.
- Cleans kitchenette areas including floors, if needed.
- Cleans general, office and employee areas according to assignment schedule.
- Attends educational presentations as assigned and applies information as directed by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Administrator
