Warehouse Lead

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our team! As a Warehouse Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions and operations in the Warehouse Department. Ensuring all deliveries are unloaded and processed accordingly. Ensuring PO Receipts are processed, and material is put away while maintaining stock organization and records of materials in inventory. You will also be required to meet requirements to replenish stock and build Carts for Production demand. This will include performing Inventory Counts to ensure Inventory Accuracy, Reconciles discrepancies in inventory and reports variances.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Monitors and maintains inventory accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain Stock Organization in Warehouses and storage area’s.
• Build and ensure Carts are built for Production Demand
• Responsible for performing Physical Inventory Counts and Reporting.
• Research inventory discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
• Ensures all labeling requirements are met in a timely manner
• Processes, documents, and reports daily put in requests and Requisitions.
• Maintain Safety Stock Physical Inventory and Safety Stock Worksheet.
• Receive and distribute deliveries for front office and facility departments.
• Coordinates efforts across operational departments to enhance Processes.
• Identifies and records any issues related to product, process and/or quality
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels.
• Verifies and supports the implementation of any changes or solutions recommended
• Receives and unpacks delivered goods; restocks items if necessary
• Process, document and approves PO Receipts
• Provide Accounting and Purchasing Manager copies of PO Receipts Daily
• Position is part of random drug screening program
• Performs routine clerical duties
• Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work environment.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and/or overseeing process.
• Performs any and all job duties as assigned
• Loading and wrapping stock on pallets.
• Handles internal stock transfers.
• Performs weekly inventory counts
• Develop and maintain good working relationships between the warehouse and other departments
• Determine optimal warehouse layout and efficient space utilization
• Monitor and maintain physical condition of the warehouse and equipment
• Ensure all housekeeping duties are completed to maintain safe and orderly work areas

SUPERVISORY:

• Coach, train and develop warehouse workers
• Motivate staff to ensure high performing teams
• Maintain staff productivity and quality standards
• Monitor and enforce warehouse safety and hygiene standards
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of supplies ordering and inventory control
• Ability to reconcile stock counts
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
• Ability to receive stock and/or deliver goods as required
• Must have clerical/office skills
• Knowledge of Receiving and invoicing procedures
• Must be able to read, speak and write in English to receive and provide direction
• Bilingual Helpful but not required
• Must maintain a professional manner in appearance and communication at all times
• Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis
• Proven work experience as a Responsible Warehouse worker
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening
• Great interpersonal skills
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• Understanding of warehouse Inventory Control practices.
• Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Required to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Required to have both peripheral and close vision.
• May be required to lift and/or move 50 pounds and may be required to exert pressure to move wheeled carts weighing up to 700 pounds.
