Responsibilities:
- Install insulation materials in various structures, such as commercial buildings, and industrial facilities
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit specific areas
- Apply insulation materials using hand tools and equipment
- Seal gaps and joints with caulk or other sealants to prevent air leakage
- Install vapor barriers and fire-retardant materials as necessary
- Remove old or damaged insulation materials when necessary
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations while working on job sites
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure proper installation
Skills:
- Proficiency in using hand tools for insulation installation
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques for insulation application
- Familiarity with trim carpentry for precise fitting of insulation materials
- Experience working with stucco for exterior insulation projects
- Understanding of construction painting techniques for finishing insulation surfaces
- Ability to estimate material quantities and costs for insulation projects
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing gaps and joints
- Ability to fabricate custom insulation pieces as needed
- Familiarity with drywall installation and repair for insulation integration
- Understanding of roof insulation methods and materials
