What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employer Brand Strategist position at Bayard Advertising?
Hi, we’re Bayard
We’re looking for an Employer Brand Strategist to join our team and help develop value proposition (EVP) and Employer Brand (EB) strategy across a range of clients and industries.
Employer Brand is one of our centers of excellence and to people not familiar with this practice, the role of strategy is to lead and conduct employee research (surveys, focus groups, interviews) and secondary research to provide excellent consulting and strategy recommendations. It is in many respects, similar to creative strategy and brand strategy in a B2C environment.
We’ll feel like a design firm and brand consultancy within a recruitment marketing agency serving clients in healthcare, transportation, logistics, technology, engineering, restaurants, hospitality, manufacturing, pharma, education, non-profit, retail, insurance, financial services, real estate, diversity and inclusion, and more.
Ideal Background?
There’s no set background we require for this role because career paths could come from marketing, creative, consulting and strategy areas. A love for solving the ‘right’ problem is the most important skill.
Diversity!
Bayard is proudly an equal opportunity employer. We mean that. We have an entire DE&I practice area founded by our EB group, and linked forever with it growing and innovating in it. We are open access to opportunity. Come as you are, everyone else on the team does.
Growth?
The role can grow in a number of ways, from expanding the agency’s thought leadership, be part of our DE&I practice, help us steer our Employee Experience Practice as it gets off the ground, be part of pitches and business development, advise our creative and client services. There’s no limit. We’re builders, tinkerers and inventors in this group.
The strategist would report to our Chief Creative Officer who leads our EB Group and Creative Services Group, and in time, it will be a core part of the role to help with new business presentations on EVP and EB, speak at events around EVP & EB strategy, help create original content for reputation building, such as articles, white papers, podcasts and the like.
Do you have to be a designer or writer?
No, not necessarily, but we’d expect you’ve been actively involved and working with those types of professionals in prior work so you’re at home with how they work, how they approach projects and can be a coach/mentor to build EB obsessiveness, as we call it.
Important: We cannot at this time accept applications from non-U.S. residents. All applicants must also be legally allowed to work in the U.S. as well.
