Bayard is a Class C2 school in scenic Western Nebraska.  The school district has excellent educational and extra-curricular facilities.

 

Qualifications
• Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• A valid NE Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsement(s)
• A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn.
• Excellent attendance record
• Excellent communication skills oral and written
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience.
• Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education.
• This individual will exhibit skills pertinent to foster positive human relationships and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community
• A willingness and demonstrated abilities conducive to a continuous quest for quality education.

Reports to: Building Principal
Work Schedule: 185 Day Contract
Responsibilities

  • Supervises the library material inventory, evaluates the collection, weeds obsolete and worm materials, and updates inventory records and the catalog.  
  •  Promotes users of library media center materials through displays and published communications. 
  •  Maintains a schedule that is flexible and accessible to students and faculty. 
  •  Ensure that students and staff are influential users of ideas and information
  • Students are empowered to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information to instill a love of learning in all students and ensure equitable access to information
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and complement instruction, and assess student learning. 
  • Understands and ensures that state and local policies are followed and aligns district processes to meet state requirements.  
  • Provide technology instruction to students, teachers, and other school employees.
  • Chair the technology committee.
  • Assist administrators and instructors with generating data reports.
  • Manage and inventory equipment.
  • Manage Mobile Device Management system. (Currently Mosyle for iPads and GoogleAdmin and Securly for Chromebooks)
  • Manage Learning Management Systems.  (currently eBackpack or Google Classroom)
  • Manage Network Filtering Solution. (Currently Securly).
  • Manage the District’s Google domain, Apple School Manager account, and district email platform (Google gmail and TUMS).
  • Assist in managing the district networking system.
  • Assist district personnel in setting up and connecting devices to the network.
