Position Overview
BayCare Medical Group is seeking an Inpatient Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our BayCare Behavioral Health team at St. Joseph's Hospital - North located in Lutz, Florida. Qualifications
The nurse practitioner provides inpatient psychiatric services to individuals experiencing mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders in assigned areas.
- Conducts psychiatry evaluations and medication management to targeted populations.
- Completes all required paperwork as required by FSS - Baker Act statutes and all other applicable regulatory bodies. Participates in Baker act proceedings as necessary.
- Performs on call duties as applicable to assigned site to include admission orders and emergency issues.
- Provides clinical consultation to medical services and other treatment team members. Ability to travel to other assigned locations.
- Consult/Liaison position conducting on the medical floors.
- One week of call coverage is required. May take additional call for additional pay.
Position requirements: Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, two years' experience post Master's practicing as a PMHNP.
