Position Description: Advanced Patient Care Leader
The Advanced Patient Care Leader is an advanced clinical nurse who leads the practice of nursing and manages care on the patient care unit. This nurse is proficient in the delivery of complex nursing care and continuously promotes quality care assuming a broad level of accountability for outcomes. The Patient Care Leader provides 24 hour/ 7 day accountability care for assigned patients. Serves as a preceptor and/or mentor to PCL as well as providing training. Serves as a expert resource and consultant to physicians, PCL, and CNL students.
