POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Performance & Analytics Manager leads the End-to-End supply chain reporting, analytics and performance monitoring for Consumer Health U.S. Responsible for the strategic and tactical review of the supply chain plan in alignment with current business strategy. This manager develops innovative tools and aligns KPIs to track and project performance.
The Supply Chain Performance & Analytics Manager reports all U.S. KPIs locally and globally. This manager recognizes patterns / shifts that adversely affect supply continuity and develops scenario planning tools to mitigate supply risks.
The Supply Chain Performance & Analytics Manager leads continuous improvement across the end to end supply chain through the operationalizing of supply chain data, turning insights into action.
This role is also responsible for playing the role as SME for all KPIs, reporting systems, and functionality.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages the Bayer Consumer Health U.S. Supply Chain metrics and global reporting
- KPI Owner with oversight and responsibility for adjustments and data analysis/simulations to optimize end to end pipeline to support U.S. Supply Chain strategy (e.g., risk assessments, capacity planning, etc.)
- Responsible for service level reporting to global SCM (GIM/GIP) and root-cause analysis. Business process owner for service level reporting and communication to local business teams.
- Case Fill Rate, OTIF, Service Level, Obsolescence, Inventory DOS, and future KPI performance and reporting
- Establishing standard reporting, training, and develop executive updates
- Supports Supply Chain leadership team through preparation of presentations, analyses, simulations to anticipate risks and enable decision-making
2. Supports the Bayer Consumer Health U.S. SCM strategy and decisions with root-cause analysis, development and reporting of key performance indicators, including the leadership of mitigation strategies, and tactical projects to address key challenge areas facing the U.S. supply chain
- Manages the development and implementation of Supply Chain, and Shared Site Level KPIs and global KPIs and ensure parameters and KPIs are aligned with global directives and business strategy and cross- regional supply topics. This includes deep dive analytics to support continuous improvement and S&OP decision making
- Designs and implements reporting solutions for efficient and effective management of the supply chain (e.g., cockpits, dashboards, scenario and contingency planning, etc.)
- Focal point for SCM reporting systems and solutions, including close partnership with O&I and IT for system error correction, new systems, upgrades and process improvements
- Develops best practices for supply chain performance monitoring which can be applied at a regional and global level
- Supports data driven supply chain through development and enhancement of existing reporting capabilities through automation and adoption of machine learning/algorithm deployment where possible
3. Operationalizes supply chain data to drive high levels of performance across end to end supply chain
- Forecast Accuracy, Bias and Volume Variance performance reporting and communicating major shifts to sites to ensure rapid response from supply sites
- Tracks and reports out on inventory projections and deviations from policy stock in order to proactively minimize exposure to service/waste
- Establishes and rolls out holistic supply process tools including training and guidance on Seasonal and Launch Scenario Planning within the U.S. Supply Chain and develops a roll-out plan for monitoring execution.
- Provides leadership and insights for input into S&OP business meetings, supply chain reporting: prepares high level supply status updates and monthly highlights and lowlights; prepare monthly reports on supply chain performance vs. key metrics and brand reviews regularly
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES
Education Requirement(s):
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Planning, Business or a technical discipline with 6 years' supply chain experience or a Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Planning, Business or a technical discipline with 4 years' supply chain experience. Masters in Data Science, SC Analytics preferred.
- Background and understanding of supply chain management principles such as (but not limited to) S&OP, Production Planning, Purchasing, Forecasting and Logistics is required.
Skill & Competency Requirements:
- Demonstrated target and performance driven attitude with successful track record leading projects and teams is required.
- Very strong analytical ability and experience optimizing overall supply chain performance including, customer service, inventory management and end to end supply chain costs is required
- Experience working with various software packages: Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and PowerPoint is required
- Experience in advanced analytics software and programming (Tableau, SQL, PowerBI etc.) is required.
- Experience in advanced analytics software and programming is preferred (Python, Snowflake, R, Alteryx/Trifecta etc.) is preferred
- Experience managing supply chain planning and data collection in SAP/APO is preferred
- Experienced in application of OE/Lean methodology is preferred, six sigma green belt desired
Preferences:
- Experience with Retailer inventory ideally top retailers like Walmart, Target etc
- Experience with AI/ML, computational programming and predictive/ prescriptive analytics desired.
