Graphic Design Co-op

The Design Co-op role at Bayer Is responsible for supporting our design team in creating the

visual expression of a brand and how it comes to life across touchpoints (including packaging, in-

store, digital/social, etc.). As a Co-op, you will have exposure to creative and business leaders,

agency partners, and functional partners who together influence brand and design strategies and

create remarkable design solutions. We allow you to work through all parts of the design process,

including assessing the landscape and brainstorming through to design/content creation. Design

thinking, project management, and collaboration with multi-functional teams are important parts of

this role.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Bayer Consumer Healthcare is looking for a Design Co-op for 2024. Working alongside the team, you will

be responsible for creating remarkable design solutions that support the brand strategy and business

objectives. This will include hands-on design such as sketching, rendering, and prototyping along with

envisioning, inspiring, and creating solutions across marketing touchpoints and packaging.

As a Co-op, you will support the team on a variety of projects that will be impactful to the business. Our

curriculum has been structured in such a way that your experience as a Co-op at Bayer is both

educational and fun while keeping you connected with your mentor, manager, and fellow Co-op's! You

will gain exposure to company leaders through Design Forums, your final project showcase, and other

company functions.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

• Have knowledge of the latest trends in design across multiple industries;
• Have a assion for design;
• Be proactive on solutions and not afraid to ask questions or seek knowledge;
• Have a keen eye and attention to detail;
• Collaboration/interdependence skills through past examples;
• Show examples of discipline, time, and project management skills;
• Use of compassion and non-linear thinking: You should be able to see the consumer as a person

and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind .

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values, more specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• Junior, Senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited university studying Graphic Design or equivalent Design curriculum.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Graphic design Co-ops should be familiar with Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
  
• This position will be a hybrid of an on-site (Whippany, NJ Office) and remote location. Applicants need to be able to complete a 40-hour work week.
  
• Ability to produce strong hand sketches and computer-generated designs
• Typography skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English
• Refined presentation skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects
