The dedicated Inoculum Production Scientist will spearhead large-scale inoculum production processes in support of our field trials and controlled environmental assays ensuring the delivery of high-quality biological material, aligning with our commitment to advance superior genetics and collaborate with crop science partners for crop protection.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Inoculum Production Scientist, are to:
- Lead and execute large-scale production of inoculum, ensuring that the amount, viability, timing, and representativeness meet the required standards, reflecting both natural and current pathogen populations;
- Establish and follow rigorous quality standards to deliver inoculum that meets or exceeds project specifications;
- Work in close conjunction with Crop Science partners to define and secure the necessary resources for achieving production targets within set timelines;
- Efficiently manage resources to meet production goals, including personnel, budget, and laboratory/facility usage;
- Provide strategic input for process improvement, scalability, and cost-efficiency in inoculum production;
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, outcomes, and variances, and report on progress and challenges to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in plant Pathology;
- Strong background in mycology and demonstrated skills on lab operations such as pathogen identification, pathogen preservation, and inoculation for virulence/aggressiveness assays;
- Results orientation, fast pace, and attention to details;
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills;
- Strong record of innovation and applying new technology in product design and development.
- Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with at least preferred 3 years of experience in industry.
