Inventory & Waste Mgmt Spec
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Inv & Waste Mgmt Spec , are to:
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HSE Programs including Hazardous Communication, Chemical Inventory Management, and Waste Management and guide, mentor, train and coach site personnel to ensure overall compliance of specific safety programs.;
- Ensure the freedom of operation of the sites in the region by compliance with legislation and the corporate requirements;
- Actively participates and supports problem solving and continuous improvement projects initiated through various methods including, 5S, teamwork, visual management, focused improvement, gap analysis and facilitate implementation;
- Provides knowledge and guidance to internal and external stakeholders including leadership, in a specialized area of safety, chemical, hazardous materials, agriculture, and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA);
- Collaborate cross site and with multi disciplinary groups, such as HSE Specialists, Site Leadership and Hawaii Maintenance Leads & Team Members to establish consistent and appropriate procedures to reduce risks and comply with health, safety and environmental regulations;
- Communicate independently with all site personnel on shipping, inventory and waste related items;
- Acquire and maintain training needed to accurately manage and sign waste manifests and oversee waste pickups;
- Maintain accurate records for all chemical inventory and waste onsite, including oversight of regular inspections;
- Maximize the inventory management process to minimize the opportunity for waste and shift to use of standard and environmentally sustainable products;
- Properly communicates findings to necessary stakeholders;
- Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Experience with inventory management software and tracking systems along with computer proficiencies including Microsoft Office Suite;
- Outstanding leadership & communication skills including the capability to clearly present information to influence others through oral or written means;
- Valid driver’s license; Driving record (MVR) will be reviewed and must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers;
- Demonstrated decision making ability & problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental Science, or a related field;
- Minimum 3 year's experience performing, including but not limited to, the listed duties in the requisition;
- Technical experience and acumen with OSHA, EPA, and State Specific requirements.
