General Summary:
The Technician II, Resource Management is responsible for performing all tasks relative to specific position in a timely manner, with minimal supervision while following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). These tasks include everything in Technician I, Resource Management duties as well as demonstrated ability to operate at and advanced levels within our various inventory management platforms, safely, operate motor vehicles. Create requisitions, find and review purchase orders, effectively navigate Proof of Delivery (POD) software, accurately maintain Point of Use systems and other technology platforms as they become available. Technician II’s must be able to effectively mentor new team members, actively practice sound LEAN thinking. Effectively communicating organizational messages to customer and end-users while providing exceptional customer service. Apply LEAN/Six Sigma principles in daily duties. Understand basic supply chain, LEAN, Six Sigma and medical terminology. Follows all applicable policies, procedures, and manufacturers guidelines.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for receipt, distribution, and delivery of resources, supplies and equipment from any of the shipping modalities (LTL/Small Parcels). Including, but not limited to disposable medical supplies/equipment, linen and mail; assists
2. Unloads, sorts and breaks-down inbound shipments; staging materials per standard operating procedures (SOP). Validating shipping quantity and quality at the item level, able to identify discrepancies and coach in the moment for compliance while escalating issues, concerns or questions to leadership.
3. Performs transportation or escort services for both internal and external customers, ensuring that the right product is delivered to the right place at the right time.
4. Operates efficiently in electronic inventory management systems, receiving, counting and decrementing inventories in accordance with department SOP.
5. Picks orders for hospital/clinic needs accurately in accordance with department SOP.
6. Creation of requisitions, Periodic Automatic replenishment (PAR) Inventory Levels and minor reports
7. Advance operation of Resource Management technology platforms, to include coaching peers in-the-moment for issues or discrepancies
8. Communicates effectively with team members and clinical staff, proactively notifies teams of product supply concerns, process updates and address concerns related to current workflows
9. Actively participates in recall management, monitors inventory for expirations or loss, escalating issues, concerns or questions.
10. Effectively, communicates with teams and clinical partners to ensure product is available at the right place, the right time, and in the right quantity.
11. Coordinates actions for cycle counting and inventory analysis activities upon leadership assignment.
12. Applies and adheres to LEAN principles according to division performance improvement methodology
13. Actively, participates in root-cause problem solving investigations
14. Safely operate Resource Management vehicles
15. Mentors team members – effectively coach peers in the moment to ensure workflow sustainability and notifies leadership when unable to solve workflow disruptions.
16. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of department responsibilities.
