Electro-Mechanical Technician
San Jose, CA
Duration: 2 Months with an Extension
Desired Skills and Experience:
Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Team player with good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented.
Enthusiastic about learning new techniques and applying them on relevant testing.
Ability to use a wide variety of hand and power tools.
Experience with machine shop.
Able to work under supervision, follow directions and perform works accurately.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
Implementing test plans: setting up and conducting tests or experiments with attention to detail.
Willingness to excel as an individual contributor and part of a team and work effectively across multiple facilities operations disciplines.
EDVT / MDVT testing experience is a plus.
Familiar with Mechanical Test Equipment: environmental chambers, shakers, drop testers.
Familiarity with lab equipment: accelerometer, strain gauge probes, oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, digital-to-analog converter
Responsibilities
This position is expected to be highly proficient and work under general supervision and support mechanical, electronics or instrumentation and controls of moderate to advance complexity.
Work may involve complete systems as well as components, modules, or subsystems.
Measure, cut, machine, drill, tap, level, etc. per drawing requirements.
Independently build and modify assemblies according to engineering drawings.
Review completed projects to confirm the final product meets all requirements of the Quality Checklist and request supervisor/manager sign off.
Ability to work independently as well as follow detailed work instructions.
