Your role with us will be to specialize in this position maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software for multiple locations. The IT Technician will also be the main point of contact for employee who are experiencing computer issues. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization that has experienced significant growth recently. This position is often on the front line of work efforts or issues (Tier 1 & 2) and will have the opportunity to work with other IT staff if the work efforts or issues need escalation.

- Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software (computers, wireless access points, printers, monitors, video, and telephony).
- Offer daily operations and systems technical support to the North Shore Enterprise.
- Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
- Maintain asset inventory of all technology active devices and adhere to policies for the proper destruction of protected data.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
- Assist employees with computer problems and answer their questions.
- Install, configure, and maintain all technologies related to squads under North Shore IT control.
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure proper security policies and procedures are enforced.
- Desired: Bachelor’s Degree and three years of progressively responsible experience in a related field.
- Required: Driver's License.
- Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience
- Skilled in using computer applications including spreadsheet, database, and document management software; using analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and other computer applications; and in analyzing and organizing technical data.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain effective interpersonal relationships; operate computer with a general understanding of application software, and an understanding of the Internet; learn office and organization-specific software; exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions; anticipate and diffuse problems before they occur; recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems; analyze and solve work related problems; analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence; and to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
