SUMMARY OF PURPOSE AND GOALS:
The Intergenerational Child Care Director is responsible for the successful operation of the center. The individual in this position is responsible for planning, directing, evaluating and maintaining an integrated intergenerational child care program. The Center Director is responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state and local laws including, but not limited to the Washington State child care licensing guidelines and regulations. The Center Director integrates the philosophy and mission of Bayview (BAYVIEW) into the operation of the Intergenerational Child Care Center. S/he maintains an orderly, secure, and mentally stimulating environment for children. This is accomplished through organizational skills, patience, sense of humor, and a joyful approach toward others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge and Skill
- B.A. degree in general education or early childhood education.
- At least 45 credit hours in early childhood education courses.
- Some college level course work in administration, business and/or management.
- At least five years' experience in professional childcare center, with minimum of three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, developmentally appropriate programs for all participants and their families.
- Positive role model of the intergenerational childcare profession.
Pay Range: $70,705.60 - $80,953.60 annual salary
