Job Description
Working with the accounting team, this role will assist in fulfilling the company’s day to day accounting activities and periodic financial reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform accounts payable and receivable activities
Preparing check, payments, and bank deposits
Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
Allocate and post financial transaction details to subsidiary books
Reconcile and balance all accounts
Analyze account data and generate financial reports
Complete all relevant reporting requirements
Assist with budget preparation
Assist with audits
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary
Education
Associate degree in accounting, finance or business
Experience
2-3 yrs experience in Accounting
Basic knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks Enterprise
Renewable energy experience a plus
Knowledge of data management
Professional Skills:
Excellent written and spoken English
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; comfortable making public presentations
Ability to work productively with limited supervision; self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
Well-organized and structured with the ability to prioritize and time-manage
Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously while multitasking for each of those projects
Ability to comprehend and analyze financial information; focused, with the ability to think outside the box; high attention to detail
Ability to travel up to 10% of time (air and land); valid driver’s license required
Software knowledge including:
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, especially:
