Position Overview:
The Shipping Assistant role will be supporting the day-to-day logistics operations, ensuring the efficient processing of shipments, both inbound and outbound. This position involves coordinating with internal departments, external vendors, and carriers to facilitate the accurate and timely movement of goods.
Responsibilities
- Booking and Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments as needed.
- Obtaining freight quotes.
- Issuing shipping documents such as packing slip, invoice, bill of lading, etc...
- Assisting in planning the daily route for the drivers as required.
- Resolving delivery issues while the shipments are during transit.
- Reviewing billing discrepancies.
