PROPOSAL MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
BB&E is seeking a Full-Time Proposal Manager to lead the preparation of federal and industrial client proposals. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated professional, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is a hybrid position that can be located at any of our corporate offices in San Antonio, TX; Northville, MI; or Atlanta, GA. Preferred candidate would be able to work 2-3 days per week in an office environment and the remaining days remotely. A fully remote position will be considered for highly qualified applicants.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform detailed analysis of RFP/RFQ/RFI documents to assess requirements and share analysis results with senior leadership for go/no go decision.
- Log and update RFPs/RFIs into the CRM system or other tracking tools.
- Enter and manage data within the CRM including new staff information, resumes, project descriptions, opportunities, leads, etc.
- Develop RFI responses and write compelling proposal narratives that demonstrate BB&E’s value proposition.
- Facilitate proposal kick-off meeting and color reviews (pink, red, gold).
- Review all proposal drafts and final documents to ensure responsiveness, thoroughness, accuracy, and quality.
- Establish a production schedule and resource plan to ensure all required proposal documents are produced properly and delivered on time.
- Oversee QA/QC of proposal documents prepared by other team members.
- Create/proofread/edit/update resumes; generate resumes in BB&E’s format/style; ensure resumes are in compliance and sufficiency per government’s requirements.
- Maintain well-organized electronic documentation of proposal activities (i.e., proposal files, resumes, project descriptions) within the company’s content management application.
- Create/update project descriptions; act as key resource to provide project information to other proposal managers and/or Program Managers.
- Generate excel spreadsheets to evaluate data gaps in proposal development.
- Generate excel spreadsheet templates in support of pricing proposals.
- Create/update marketing content (e.g., factsheets, one-pager capability statements, statements of qualifications, etc.).
- Update and organize technical content, provided by others, to generate concise and understandable content.
- Assist in implementing BB&E’s image/brand guidelines on assigned projects and marketing materials.
- Perform closeout activities ensuring lessons learned and debriefing process is initiated for all proposals.
- Create/update plans (Quality Control Plans, Management Plans, Staffing Plans) utilizing templates once Task Order is awarded; assist with formatting monthly/semiannual reports.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a relevant discipline such as marketing, business development, English, engineering/sciences, communications, journalism, etc.
- Minimum five (5) years of proposal management experience.
- Experience in federal sector proposal management preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Capable to adapting to changing priorities in a very dynamic work environment and demonstrate the ability to work in stressful situations with critical deadlines.
- Required to work on multiple assignments, with overlapping schedules, and needs to be able to multi-task and/or delegate/coordinate responsibilities with team members to accomplish all tasks.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience in SharePoint is desired.
- Experience in Canva/In-Design/or similar application is desired.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary : $82,600 - $105,000
