This position plays a critical role in ensuring that SunTrust can develop sound targeted marketing programs/campaigns and these can be executed with excellence.As a member of the Targeted marketing Center of Excellence (COE), this candidate will be responsible for successfully leading the implementation of hundreds of marketing campaigns across both direct and digital space.
Play the role of Integrated Project Lead for campaigns that span multiple COE's. Includes building integrated projects plans, ensuring creative and content aligns across channels, and sharing plans/creatives/results with senior leadership (10%).
Team lead - manage a subset of COE team that manages Consumer Lending line of businesses.
Lead the strategy, development, production and mailing/emailing of each project. Develop project plan to share and manage project milestones with stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with the ability to build and develop strong relationships across the enterprise.
Coordinate all aspects of creative development with agency and internal resources and track to project plans and timelines/ deliverables.
Present creative to LOB Marketing, Product Managers and LOB and influence creative approach and direction. Provide each with necessary information to successfully complete the project including, but not limited to, educating others on the effective uses of direct marketing and best practices.
Ability to make minor adjustments to creatives through creative tools like Adobe Photoshop (or similar) as well as learn how to use different systems (eg. APRIMO workflow, Email program management platform, etc.)
Develop list selection and segmentation criteria, review waterfalls and coordinate all parts of list creation with key stakeholders, including LOB, LOB Marketing and Marketing Information Group (MIG) and Agency.
Actively participate in strategic ideation sessions to identify, analyze and recommend solutions to business issues and opportunities, including competitive review, market trends, program results, and technological advances.
Additionally, demonstrate an understanding of the business and objectives for each LOB. Continually monitor and report on project process to all stakeholders, managing project changes and updates with both internal stakeholders and agency.
Analyze results, and continuously improve campaigns through test and learn approach. Experience in testing methodologies, including: developing test samples and reading statistical significance. They will also be responsible for collaborating with their Line of Business partners and ensuring that the marketing campaigns have high ROI.
Utilize previous experience to build test plans, develop test/control in requirements, evaluate statistical significance of ongoing tests, and actively sharing testing results with business partners (20%).
Review and assess risk of direct marketing vendors on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Continuously monitor ongoing processes and recommended process improvements that drive cost/time efficiency (10%).
Manage estimates, agency fees and pass through costs against the project budget and overall spend for the LOB. Provide updates and monthly forecast to finance and the LOB.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business or related field
- 4-6 years progressive marketing management experience
- Must have an understanding of the role of direct and digital marketing to address specific business objectives, criteria for judging creative and the elements of direct marketing design and testing.
- Articulate, excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Presentation skills confidence.
- Strong detail orientation to ensure quality, consistency and alignment.
- Comfortable working independently or one-on-one with peers and key stakeholders.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suit.
Preferred:
- MBA or other Masters level degree
- Possess high level of quantitative and analytical skills to support recommendations on campaigns. Experience in html coding and Adobe Photoshop (or comparable creative tools).
- Experience in testing methodologies (A/B testing, significance of test, etc.).
- 6+ years progressive marketing management experience
- Direct Marketing agency or equivalent experience.
- Financial Services or Credit Card background a plus.
