Master Gardener

We are looking for creative and experienced Master Gardener o join our growing team in the greater Washington DC area.

The ideal candidate is passionate about bringing plants indoors to replicate the beauty and environmental benefits those plants provide outdoors. We are looking for someone eager to make greenery come to life and wants to join an awesome team in the interior design and event industry! We have part-time positions available and will pay overtime during our peak time of the year.

The primary responsibilities include:

• Install, restore, and maintain plants indoors in unnatural environments
• Assisting with interior landscape maintenance
• Cultivating functional and ornamental plants,
• Transplant and prune shrubs and small trees,
• Indoor mulching, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management
• Curating small external displays as well as internal displays
• Mixing design elements of light, color, shrubbery, and plants for indoor and contained outdoor spaces

Job Requirements

• Active driver's license
• The ability to drive and access work sites in Montgomery and Frederick County, Maryland, and Fairfax, VA.

Professional membership in the National Interiorscape Network

Professional membership in the National Association of Landscape Professionals

Certification and degrees in floriculture or ornamental plant production

Pay and Compensation: BBE believes in and practices pay transparency. This is an hourly position that pays as much as $22/hour plus overtime. This position is also eligible for two bonuses: the annual bonus pool for all employees, client retention bonuses for client contract renewals, and referral bonuses for each new employee referrals.

BBE is looking for candidates who can commit to 10 to 20 hours per week, minimum.

Do you have interior design certifications or experience, or interior landscape experience of 2 years? If so, you may be eligible to receive a higher starting pay of $24.00 per hour.

Pay Frequency: Every Two Weeks on Fridays, direct deposit.
