Eagle Integrated Services, LLC. (EIS) is seeking a Mid Network Engineer. This position is a full-time, 40-hour/week contract position supporting the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for creating and deleting network accounts, password management, and configuration management of firewall, Intrusion Prevention System/Intrusion Detection System (IPS/IDS), routers, Wireless Access Points, Wireless Controllers, Network Access Control devices, Virtual Private Network devices, and switches
Support and maintain network devices, upgrade network devices and recommend equipment replacement.
Monitor the network performance to determine current and potential problems and propose network additions and enhancements to improve performance.
Support major network architecture changes such as: new devices deployment and movement, network architecture redesign, hardware configuration changes, wireless deployments, implementation/modification of test/development/medical device enclaves.
Support and maintain the operating systems, patches, upgrades, Information Assurance (IA) requirements of all systems within the WRAIR
Ensure that these systems are online and available to WRAIR customers and ensure backups and contingency issues are addressed in the event of failures
Support/administrator all tenant networks/Virtual Local Area Networks that run on the WRAIR network backbone.
Monitor and report on the status of the network and system devices
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must consent to and be able to pass a Government T3 (Secret) or T5 (Top Secret) background clearance investigation (includes finger-printing)
Certifications REQUIRED: Security and one of the following: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNA Security), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA Wireless)
Experience providing IT customer support in a professional setting
Must consent to providing proof of COVID vaccination in accordance with Federal Executive Order 14042.
