SUMMARY

Responsible for setting up and tearing down banquet events.  Maintains cleanliness of event center.  Supports banquet service operation as needed.  Responsible for all in-house rental for external events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Sets all banquet events to specifications.
• Tears down banquet events after they have concluded.
• Must be able to read and interpret BEO’s
• Maintain knowledge of all banquet standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of event space.
• Maintains cleanliness of service space.
• Maintains cleanliness of pre-event space.
• Maintains organization/cleanliness of banquet storage space.
• Supports banquet service operations as needed during events.
• Counts, prepares and labels all in-house rental for external events.
• Checks in all out-of-house rental for internal/external events.
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of banquet/catering equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of all guest areas to include:  bathrooms, lobby and pre-event spaces.

In addition, other duties may be assigned as the needs arise.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Cannot be convicted of a violent felony crime.
• Possess basic inventory skills of product identification and counting.
• Possess strong organizational skills.
• Possess excellent people and communication skills.
• Ability to move equipment of up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to lift equipment of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and follow through.
• Ability to be clean thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
• Ability to work in hot, noisy and sometimes close environments.
• Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job function.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
