What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant (Temporary Position) position at BCD Health Partners?
This is a summer temporary position.
· Maintain and protect confidentiality of patient information.
· Answer the telephone or return calls in a timely, cheerful, understanding, patient, thorough, informative and professional manner. Identify the name of the practice and person answering the phone
· Take full responsibility and full ownership of work performed
· Approach problems with initiative, collaboration, a positive proactive attitude and creative thinking
· Communicate with others in a professional, mature, direct and timely fashion and establishes trusting, professional relations with others
· Conduct work with speed, attention to detail and correct prioritization
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Organizing and maintaining records (paper and electronic)
· Arranges all meetings/travel/conferences, etc.
· Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing, and scanning as required
· Sending out Medical Records via fax, UPS or FEDEX
· Send and confirm accounts to collection agency
· Create and organize electronic files
· Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems
· Open, date stamp and distribute mail
· Fill envelopes with patient statements
· Answer and screen incoming calls positively and warmly
· Performs other duties as required or directed.
· Participate in practice meetings such as staff meetings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
