The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting Partners' matters, and representing clients in various transactional needs. The individual must demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial law, possess excellent communication skills, and uphold the ethical and professional standards of the Virginia State Bar.Duties:Work closely with Partners on client matters, providing legal expertise in transactional needs.Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.Conduct meetings with new clients to assess their needs, identify goals, and determine the best legal course of action.Ensure timely entry of time and billing details in accordance with firm best practices.Collaborate with the Firm Administrator and Managing Partner to support overall firm goals.Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the Virginia State Bar and other applicable bars.Requirements:Active Virginia State Bar Membership in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of corporate and/or transactional experience.Strong understanding of commercial law.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional organizational skills, including capturing, detailing, and follow-up.Professionalism in interactions with team members.Commitment to the professional, integrity, and loyalty values integral to the firm.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Skills:Proficient in technology, including Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel).Preferred: Membership in Delaware, NY, DC, MD, or FL Bar.Preferred: Experience with Clio and NetDocuments software.
