Housekeeper/Day Porter

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain all exterior plant materials including, but not limited to grass, trees, shrubs, plantings, and flowers. Includes removal of weeds from shrubbery beds and dead plant materials.
• Physically walk the property frequently and remove litter, debris, pet droppings from the grounds. It is especially critical that the following areas always remain neat and free of litter: pool areas, laundry rooms, mailrooms, dumpster areas, and recreation areas, grounds adjacent to the road, in front of the office, walkways to and from and in-between buildings.
• Perform "trash-out" duties at vacated apartments. Remove all abandoned furniture, trash, boxes. Transfer to dumpster or storage area, whichever is applicable.
• Notify manager of any diseased, dying, or dead landscape plantings.
• Transfer trash and other items left outside of the dumpster into the dumpster. Pick-up and sweep area. Keep dumpster doors closed on windy days.
• Detail property regularly. Use the blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clear of loose grass and brush.
• Clean and sweep dumpster areas and all outdoor recreational areas.
• Distribute resident communications, i.e., upcoming events, pest control notices, newsletters, etc.
• Perform work area clean up and safety-related duties.
• Be aware of goals relative to resident satisfaction and resident retention and ensure that you do your part towards meeting them.
• Always maintains awareness of proper safety precautions.
• Clean laundry room area, if applicable.
• It is the employee's responsibility to know and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and all policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by Buckhead Cleaning & Janitorial Services or as communicated (verbally or in writing) to site employees.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Other duties as directed by management
