The Clinical Manager, Specimen Management is a field-based, commercial/non-sales role, serving as a catalyst for collaboration between BD and key clinical brand advocates to develop strategic partnerships with key societies and organizations through peer-to-peer engagement (AACC, CLSI, CAP, APIC, etc.). The priority area of focus includes building on the commercial strategy with a hyperfocus on reaching clinicians and laboratorians, amplifying the clinical differentiation and value of BD’s Specimen Management Portfolio. The Clinical Manager will develop clinician and laboratorian Brand Ambassadors to help sell the clinical value of BD’s Specimen Management solutions to their peers through real world evidence, targeted regional programming and omnichannel activities to drive provider demand and growth.Job Description

Key Responsibilities will include:
Identify, engage, and foster relationships with potential Brand Ambassadors with the goal of bolstering key strategic professional and patient advocacy groups to gain access to robust networks (AACC, CLSI, CAP, APIC, etc.) Goal of accelerating adoption of BD’s Specimen Management Solutions.
Work with Marketing, Clinical Solutions, and local sales teams to leverage local workflow assessments, existing marketing tools and target lists as a starting point. Share approved, on-label materials to differentiate importance of BD’s Specimen Management portfolio as it relates to improvement in specimen quality and enhancing quality of care and outcomes for physicians and their patients.
Build Regional Speaker bureau. This includes appropriate HCP interaction and tasks to ensure speakers are fairly and legally reviewed prior to initiating any speaking or other services on behalf of BD.
Beyond speaking engagements, identify opportunities and assist Marketing with execution of omni channel events (blogs, webinars, publications, videos) that leverage Brand Ambassadors.
Train Regional Speakers on approved Promotional Speaker deck in conjunction with the Marketing team, connecting with Medical Affairs team where appropriate for scientific exchange.
Launch Regional Speaker programs events per target area held in accordance with speaker compliance guidelines.
Attend National/Regional conferences for additional Brand Ambassador engagement and to gather competitive intelligence.
Provide customer insights with Sales and Marketing via standing meetings, to occur bi-monthly.
About you: To be successful in this role, you require:
Minimum BS or BA in Laboratory or Life Sciences required; MT, ASCP, BSN or MSN, LEAN Certification preferred.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience and demonstrated consistent success in process improvement, best practices, and change management within the Medical Device Industry/Hospital Sector; sales and/or marketing experience in Medical Device is a plus.
Experience working successfully with commercial and clinical functions.
Ability to Navigate the Decision-Making Unit (DMU) within the acute market; Identify unmet Standards of Care; Total consideration to all IDS business opportunities; distinguish transactional vs. value-based mindsets; present shared priorities; strong problem solver with limited direction provided.
Standard of Care Expertise; proven analytical skills which include problem solving, qualitative reasoning and hypothetical driven consulting approaches.
ability to integrate projects within BDX Sales Organizations and Marketing Departments
C-Suite negotiation experience with customer commitment in behavioral change; ability to set clear expectations being the facilitation expert; collaborate amongst multiple teams with a high standard of emotional intelligence.
Demonstrated customer centricity experience and skills; strong knowledge of health care trends; customer-focused problem solving; strong customer rapport with key opinion leaders.
Strong financial, analytical, communication, and presentation skills; basic knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory IT (LIS data.)
Up to 75% travel.
