Responsibilities:
Set up and operate all types of mold fabricating equipment
Read and interpret mold drawings to ensure accuracy and precision
Make, alter, and repair molds and components of complex design
Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble injection molds to maintain optimal performance
Determine which mold components need repair or replacement to ensure proper gating, venting, and cooling of molds
Polish mold component finishes as required to maintain quality standards
Perform routine mold repairs and fabricate mold components via established methods
Performs development work, fitting and adjusting of mold components to maintain proper dimensional tolerances.
Fit and adjust mold components to maintain proper dimensional tolerances
Assist more experienced Mold Makers on large and complicated multi-cavity molds
Observe all safety and environmental procedures and QSR’s
Help keep Hoist inspected
Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
Vocational/Technical School training or education in Machining or Tool & Die preferred
Minimum of 3 years Machinist or Tool & Die experience
EDM proficiency preferred
Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts. 7pm - 7am
