RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate plant policies (safety, attendance, disciplinary actions).
Responsible for training of new employees including new operator orientation, ITR's, and appropriate counseling/coaching.
Supervise and take appropriate action regarding individual quality and efficiency issues in coordination with the Shift Coordinator and Unit Manager.
Responsible for being knowledgeable of regulatory policies and procedures, such as GMP's, ISO, OSHA, environment, etc., and align with these procedures.
Responsible for achieving schedule compliance on all product lines.
Propose and develop methods to improve quality, cost, and overall organizational efficiency.
Assist in the continual development of teams and team efficiency.
SUPERVISION:
Responsible for all employees on their shift and in their business unit
Responsible for the day-to-day direction of technical employees
Issues of overall employee or shift performance will be discussed with the Unit Manager and appropriate action agreed to.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following areas: Business Administration, Industrial Management, Industrial Technology and/or a related field.
Must have a general knowledge of financial reporting, including labor, waste, and expense costs and good understanding of business practices to achieve competitive advantages.
One to three years manufacturing or related supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of the business including appropriate actions to resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate a team-based environment.
Must be able to read, understand and follow hazardous waste handling procedures to comply with EPA requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Accountable to the Unit Manager for budget compliance of department; controlling labor, waste, equipment and expense.
Accountable to the Unit Manager for quality, schedule and regulatory compliance of the manufacturing unit to Company goals and policies and to Federal policy and law.
Accountable to the Unit Manager for the human resources and physical assets assigned to him/her.
OTHER:
The Product Line Coordinator will be expected to:
coordinate special projects, self-initiated or assigned.
attend various plant-wide meetings and weekly staff meetings.
conduct monthly team briefings.
read, understand and follow hazardous waste handling procedures to comply with EPA requirements.
