Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics and Operations Excellence, the Sales and Marketing Analyst is accountable for providing business insights and analytics to enable the US MDS marketing organization to develop and deliver its strategic objectives. This includes, but is not limited to; monthly financial reconciliations, measurement of sales funnel effectiveness, analytical outputs to support annual budgeting and quarterly projections, supply chain analytics, modeling of new product adoption and account profiling for sales targeting, measurement of customer promotion success and ROI, and reporting on third party market share data. The role is a part of the US MDS Marketing Operations team and will participate in the development and standardization of necessary dashboards and periodic reporting including establishing and tracking leading and lagging indicators of business performance, the management of tactical execution and decision making.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage effective relationship with marketing team to understand business needs and KPI’s.
- Perform monthly financial reconciliation analysis
- Support demand forecasting and revenue projections – ASR, annual budgeting, quarterly projections and monthly sales performance analysis
- Support the analytical needs for new product launches and sales targeting
- Track and report on third party data i.e. GHX, IQVIA, and ValueCentric data to support business planning and business operations
- Provide actionable insights to the business related to customer buying trends across GPOs, NRLs and Alternate Sites, both contracted and non-contracted sales
- Support the assessment of marketing programs, including marketing automation, and salesforce effectiveness
- Provide Ad-hoc reporting to the marketing and sales functions, and key business partners
- Provide accurate/timely data in a usable/automated format to visualize trends relative to strategy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Preference for major in technical field, finance/accounting or business/marketing.
- 3-5 years of experience in analytical role supporting commercial operations – marketing and sales, ideally in a downstream capacity
- Mastery of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel (incl. advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, charts) and PowerPoint
- Excellent knowledge and analytical capabilities in Excel, Access, or Power BI with solid business acumen
- Strong quantitative and reasoning skills
- Demonstrated ability to engage with key business partners to evaluate key drivers and analytics to assist in development clear strategic recommendations and anticipate business needs.
- Strong presentation, communication skills and organizational skills
- Proficient in SAP BI/BW & QlikView in the context of Reporting
