This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the workflow for a team of Distribution employees in the Global Distribution Center.
The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.
Responsible for employee work assignments in coordination with Distribution Management in areas of responsibility.
Responsible for giving daily startup meetings within their areas of responsibility.
Responsible for error tracking within their areas of responsibility.
Responsible for communicating daily performance information to their employees.
Responsible for inventory control within their areas of responsibility.
Responsible for reviewing SOP’s with employees and ensuring all SOP’s are followed.
Responsible for ensuring safety and security processes are followed.
Controls daily operations and monitors workflow within assigned area.
Conducts investigation of discrepancies and inconsistencies in Distribution processes.
Assist with identifying departmental process improvements.
Participate in SR development/testing.
Conducts employee consultations as required. To include safety, performance, conduct, errors, etc.
Serves as Evacuation Coordinator according to the GDC Emergency Action Plan SOP for assigned area.
Will be a certified Material Handling Equipment (MHE) trainer.
Will conduct MHE training, recertification and evaluations as required.
Ensures warehouse equipment is maintained and in good operating condition.
May be required to step in and assist with warehouse and/or forklift duties.
May be required to process payroll using Kronos punch reports.
May be required to complete Incident Investigations and associated reports.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Must take safety first and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedure designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
Responsible for maintaining Housekeeping standards.
Performs other Distribution related functions/duties as assigned.
Must be able to troubleshoot conveyor jams, and print and apply machines.
Regular and reliable attendance at work.
QUALIFICATIONS

Must have knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems, i.e. JDE, Highjump and MFG-PRO systems.
Knowledge of inventory control techniques.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills.
Must be familiar with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
Knowledge of GMP’s/QSR’s.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision and show initiative in making necessary decisions to run efficient operation.
Ability to work in a fast paced distribution environment.
Excellent communication skills – must be able to work well with other employees and direct their work activities as required.
Must have strong leadership abilities.
Will be required to perform job tasks in any Distribution Team Leader job functions.
Must be able to work flexible schedule.
Forklift certification required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.
Three or more years of manufacturing, distribution or related work experience.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate material handling equipment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job is located on the warehouse floor with frequent exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration. The job is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places, and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer (no AC) and cold in the winter (very limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
