BDS is looking for a registered Architect who seeks to excel at their work to join our fun, small design firm to help create considerate, practical, & high-quality architectural design solutions that meet our client’s budget and programmatic needs.

The ideal candidate for this position can work independently, manage a consultant engineering team, and have a working knowledge of design, creation and development of construction documents, and construction administration.
Job Summary: This full-time position is responsible for production and coordination of project design, and/or construction documents for academic, institutional and multifamily projects and related construction administration activities for projects located in all regions of Alaska.
Job work locations: Remote that includes required travel, at BDS Architects offices in Anchorage, Alaska, or Hybrid.

Experience, Education and Background Minimums:
- Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited program
- Architectural Registration in any State in the United States.
- 3 years’ experience minimum in design and production of commercial, educational, or institutional projects.
- Highly developed skills in Revit, AutoCAD.
- Willingness to work on a variety of building types.
- Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently and in a team environment to coordinate with other design professionals.
- Strong verbal and graphic skills
- Commitment to their own professional growth.

Additional Salary Information: BDS provides competitive compensation and benefits. Salary for this position will be determined by the applicant’s individual skills and experience.
