POSITION: ACCOUNTING MANAGER
LOCATION: NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH
INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURING
A well established and rapidly growing manufacturing company located in North Ridgeville, OH is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team! This is an in-office position with tons of opportunity for growth! They are looking for this role to take over the CFO role in about 3 years. This person will oversee the accounting department and assist with cost accounting and multiple acquisitions.
- Manage monthly financial closing, analyze results, and provide management reports.
- Develop and improve financial systems and procedures.
- Analyze financial data to assess current and future performance.
- Generate ERP system reports and perform analyses to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with sales for annual pricing updates and ongoing pricing maintenance.
- Ensure consistent financial procedures and documentation across the organization.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, compare standard to actual production costs, and update product standards as needed.
- Update standards annually in coordination with purchasing, sales, and marketing.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of accounting and related systems.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and timely submissions with finance, tax professionals, and auditors.
- Recommend cost-saving and profitability improvement strategies.
- Provide reports on factors affecting product/service pricing and profitability.
- Support team activities such as payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Lead continuous improvement projects within the department and cross-functionally.
- Conduct annual inventory in compliance with financial institution requirements.
- 10 years in accounting/finance, including manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software
- Advanced knowledge of business systems and software (QAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access)
- Must have acquisitions experience
- Must have cost accounting knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
