We are looking for a Surgical Assistant to join our growing practice.  We pride ourselves on guiding our staff in the right direction to not only learn but also get hands-on training to move forward within the company. To be successful as an oral surgery assistant, you should be highly organized and attentive to patients' needs.

Key Duties:

Communication:

• Effectively communicate implant release instructions to referring offices, lab, and patients. 

Patient Care:

• Uncovery checks and scans.
• Assistant post ops and Dr follow ups

Daily Office Procedures:

• Digital scan models for post-surgical patients, to include delivery of electronic files to lab and instructions to referring offices.
• Uncovery check with part release.
• CT W/U with IOS

Secondary Duties

• Instrument sterilization.
• Print paperwork for surgeries.
• Room set up and turn over.
• Back up to other co-workers
• Any other duties assigned

Skills and Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experienced in WINOMS or similar platform
• Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
• Professional behavior in the workplace to include business attire, appearance, and interpersonal skills
• Belief in practice, treatment, and fees
• Ability to sit behind a desk approximately 50% of the workday
• Responsible for providing back-office assistance in preparation of pre and post-surgical needs. 

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide excellent patient care, even under stressful circumstances.
• Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shift.
• Start time will vary with schedule and needs of the office.

Special Requirements:

• Must be able to stand up to 80% of the time at minimum.
• Physical requirements include driving, flying, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time.
