Enterprise Data Architect

Minimum Qualifications

Experience with the State of Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project is highly preferred.

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

· Proven experience (minimum 12 years) as an Enterprise Data Architect, leading large-scale data architecture initiatives.

· In-depth knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehouse concepts.

· Familiarity with both relational and non-relational database technologies.

· Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Job Description

Data Architecture Design:

· Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture strategy, encompassing data models, data flows, and data lifecycle management.

· Design scalable and sustainable data solutions that support business objectives and facilitate decision-making.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

· Engage with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

· Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and data scientists to ensure alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

· Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and tools that enhance the organization's data capabilities.

· Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for proposed data architecture solutions.

Data Governance and Security:

· Define and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Implement robust data security measures and privacy controls to safeguard sensitive information.

Data Integration and Interoperability:

· Develop strategies for data integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across diverse systems and platforms.

· Collaborate with project teams to implement effective data integration solutions.

Documentation and Communication:

· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.

· Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a shared understanding of data architecture principles.
