What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Designer position at Bear Aesthetic?
As an Event Designer you will be driving the vision of Bear’s events by creating unique, innovative designs and proposals to fulfill client requests. Your role is one of the most visible at Bear since your work and imagination will quite literally be on display for all to see, interact with, and experience. Your design input will often define the styles, designs, and products that we purchase and create. The work that you do here will live to inspire others, elevate design concepts, and distinguish Bear within the event industry. This role will demand a great level of autonomy and a strong understanding of event production; including layouts, attendee flow, and the entire event experience.
Your Responsibilities
- Intake a client request to understand their vision for the event and interpret their needs to effectively show a thorough, clean, exciting, and accurate design and quote
- Be the lead for your proposals and coordinate internally with the team members to effectively design, source, quote and communicate a proposal in a timely manner
- Translate design board creations into detailed quotes/invoices that are comprehensive, accurate, and easy to digest for both the client and the team
- Fully understand internal production requirements, business needs, and constraints of venues to make smart aesthetic design choices that both advocates for a client’s vision and supports our teams needs
- Be an expert in our products and offerings to effectively design and guide client’s proposal and upsell client by embracing a persuasive and intriguing communication style
- Creatively use in-house inventory and make smart, thoughtful sourcing/purchasing recommendations that both elevate a client’s specific design and the overall capabilities of Bear
- Prepare event layouts, graphic artwork, and mockups as needed by clients or our team
- Prepare and present accurate, detailed event job cost reports
- Support design related needs for other departments and company needs
- Occasionally conduct meetings, site visits, and showroom appointments to gather details of an event and to effectively provide insight to our capabilities and production requirements
- Occasionally participate onsite assisting with client relations, setup/strike, and coordination with other vendors/partners
- Conduct smooth project handoffs to Account Managers, Production Teams, and onsite event managers

- Highly competent in building relationships and rapport with clients and team members
Job Requirements:
- Highly skilled in 2 or more Adobe software products as well as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Proficiency in event design; a plus to have market knowledge of Colorado vendors, venues, planners, caterers, and production companies
- Ability to work independently, manage project and personal timelines, and communicate to management
- Team player willing to “jump in and roll up his/her sleeves” to help others
- Have a thorough understanding of the event landscape overall and Bear’s part in each project
- Ensure that company standards are met and policies/procedures are followed
- Ability to interact with clients with grace and confidence
- Active Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
