Bear’s Contracting Group, LLC is a small but growing commercial general contractor specializing in ground up, tenant finish, and remodels. We are growing and adding a Project Manager to the Team!
We are looking for a Commercial Construction Project Manager who currently lives and works in the Dallas area that has experience in QSR industry and/or municipal work. As a Construction Project Manager at BCG, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be key to your success in this role. You will work from our office located in Denton and make weekly jobsite visits to your jobsites in the Dallas Metroplex with little to no overnight travel so you will be home every night!
The typical hours for the job are Monday - Friday during the day, however this is a job in construction and you will have a-typical days where your hours are different than the normal schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Ensure that projects are properly resourced, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate and oversee the bidding process for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, tracking costs and expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise and provide direction to the construction team, including subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address potential issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Provide regular project updates to clients, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
- Foster positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders, promoting customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the construction team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, objectives, and performance expectations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with industry standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to deliver projects of the highest standard.
- Identify and assess project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
- You must have Project Management experience in a construction environment including blueprint reading, project scheduling, and project buyout
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of commercial construction experience or 8-10 years of work experience as a project manager in a commercial construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures in the construction industry
- Ability to read and forecast project financials
- Experience with project management software and tools
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet project deadlines
- Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and MS Project
- OHSA 10 certification minimum OSHA 30 preferred
