Position Summary: 

The Call Center Agent will receive inbound calls from patients, clinicians, and contractors while also providing phone support to the staff of Beaufort Jasper Hampton Comprehensive Health Services, Inc. The Call Center Agent will rely on established guidelines to accomplish tasks and works under close supervision of manager and routes calls to appropriate departments.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for efficient, expedient, and accurate scheduling. Effectively communicates with patients, families, healthcare team members and physicians both in person and via telephone.
  • Requests an accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam.  Provides instructions and exam specific preparations to the individual scheduling the procedure.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and policies. 
  • Assists with Pre-Registration process by obtaining demographic information and insurance payer information from the individual scheduling the procedure.
  • Communicates scheduling concerns or problems to Central Scheduling Lead.
  • Organization may have additional organization specific responsibilities.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned or requested by the Manager or Director

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Associates degree preferred or 2 years of experience required. 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • High proficiency of computer skills
  • Able to type 40 wpm
  • eClinical Works knowledge preferred
  • Ability to Multi-task in busy medical practice
  • Bilingual preferred not required
