What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Analyst position at Beaufort LLC?
Beaufort is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst to add to our growing Finance team! This position will be responsible for accounting-related activities involving the company’s vendor disbursements, including new vendor set up, vendor invoice coding, AP data entry, processing vendor ACH and check payments, and processing voided checks.
This is a full time in-office position, in Virginia Beach, VA with partial remote work available.
- Accounts Payable
- Set up new vendors in the company’s accounting system and documentation files.
- Code vendor invoices to appropriate general ledger account codes
- Prepare vendor check or ACH payments
- File vendor disbursements and supporting documentation.
- Process voided check transactions as required.
- Prepare vendor 1099 statements during year-end processing.
Expense Reimbursements
- Coordinate reporting with Travel Agency
- Reconcile corporate credit card expenses.
- Review expense reimbursements submitted by employees and company subcontractors for compliance and resolve discrepancies
- Record general ledger entries as needed.
- Support the finance team on client billing issues related to reimbursable expenses.
Other Accounting Tasks- Provide backstop support to other members of the Finance team as required.
- Support ad hoc report requests as needed.
- Perform account reconciliations as needed.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 5 years of accounting or audit-related public accounting experience
- Professional experience concentrated in business to business setting a plus
- Experience with corporate travel agencies and monitoring travel expenses a plus
- Comprehensive experience with QuickBooks
