GENERAL SUMMARY: (Must include reports to)
The Director, Ambulatory Expansion supports and provides oversight of operations at Beaumont Health’s ambulatory campuses. Under the direction of the System Vice President, Support Services, the Director supports ambulatory sites by providing operational leadership to both clinical and non-clinical operations, including the Planning and Design of all future ambulatory sites. This will be accomplished trough partnerships with system leaders, department managers and directors, physicians and staff. The Director is responsible for working in collaboration with leadership to review and manage business operation plans, in order to support the infrastructure of multiple service lines and the system initiative for future growth.
The Director incorporates project management and process improvement into the ambulatory sites through lean concepts and process improvement methodologies, with the objective to instill a continuous process improvement culture and focus on Patient and Family Centered Care. In addition, the Director will work closely with Beaumont Facilities PDC and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance to manage facility planning and compliance of the ambulatory sites.
The Director is responsible for developing ambulatory strategic plans and organizing programs to assist with future growth of ambulatory services which includes, but is not limited to, involvement with real estate discussions, site planning and market analysis. The Director acts as the lead project manager for operational planning through the design, planning and construction phases of new ambulatory sites by facilitating, planning, and leading discussions and development of processes for standing up a new building and the incorporated departments.

- Collaborate and support Beaumont Health leadership

- Aligns ambulatory strategy with Beaumont Health strategic plan
- Manages business relationships with physician partners, joint ventures, and external contractors
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Manage overall business operations of Lenox, Livonia, RO Surgery Center and other future ambulatory sites, including assisting with facility planning and monitoring regulatory compliance.
- Navigates and ensures compliance is at the forefront of all decisions
- Principal leader in planning scope, budgeting, and delivery of the ambulatory capital plan
- Partners with local ambulatory leadership in preparing budgets, and monitoring Cash Flow on a monthly and annual basis
- Administers approved budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure funds are allocated accordingly
- Represents Beaumont in highly visible and public forms to achieve required governmental approvals
- Monitor and work in collaboration with system leadership for ambulatory growth including department specific growth, productivity, capacity, patient throughput and efficiency improvements.
- Maintains current knowledge of the ambulatory healthcare industry
- Leads strategic growth efforts by identifying additional use cases and channels of adoption
- Lead projects/discussions pertaining to process improvement, development of recommendations, project management, operational analysis, site planning and process design for the ambulatory sites.
- Support department leadership within ambulatory sites as it relates to system and ambulatory initiatives.
- Provide ambulatory strategic planning initiatives, including development of an ambulatory strategic plan and key strategies.
- Manages business relationships with physician partners, joint ventures, and external contractors
- Oversee and manage metrics and data analysis in coordination with leaders and staff, pertaining to related initiatives and operational objectives.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or related field required. Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Project Management/Operations, Business Administration or related field required.
- 5-7 years of healthcare experience required. Management/Leadership experience strongly preferred. Operational and Strategic Planning experience strongly preferred. Process design/improvement experience preferred.
