STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education / Training:
· Associate degree in health information management or equivalent relevant work experience required.
B. Work Experience:
· Minimum 4 years of hospital coding utilizing ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.
· Prior chart review experience preferred.
· Experience with analyzing data along with data base and spreadsheet processing preferred.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
· RHIT or RHIA required, CCS preferred.
D. Other Qualifications:
· Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
· Excellent oral presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills.
· Computer and EHR skills and excellent ability to concentrate.
· Must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple demands.
