In this role, you will support Bechtel’s communications, corporate affairs issue management, or community affairs programs. You will perform research, conduct interviews, write stories, and draft content for internal and external communications. Your work will ensure that jobs are completed on time, deadlines are met, and will support compelling narratives and impactful communication.. #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid Major Responsibilities:
Researches, conducts interviews, writes, edits, and maintains content for a variety of external Bechtel publications, and websites.
Coordinates photography, when necessary, to support articles.
Researches, writes, edits, and maintains content for the communications function, including face-to-face engagement, electronic news, intranet management, and change management activities.
Coordinates issue management, corporate and public affairs, communications, and/or community affairs programs for a project or corporate group.
Supports the organization’s events planning and management activities.
Supports the implementation and maintains policies, procedures, and processes that ensure the business unit, project, or program’s communication needs are met in a consistent, efficient, and flexible manner.
Adheres to Bechtel personnel policies, management instructions, and other relevant company policies and procedures.
Monitors job progress and alerts supervisor when schedules appear to be in jeopardy or deadlines may not be met.
Collects data and metrics on a variety of communications activities and outcomes and creates reports based on those metrics.
Assists in planning and implementing all-employee meetings, community outreach programs, and other events, including presentations and logistics. Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills:
Have a passion for building creative communications campaigns.
Demonstrated track record of launching and managing campaigns, media outreach, and press releases.
Highly proficient with HTML/CSS; working knowledge of XML, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages.
Knowledge of CMS, e.g., WordPress or Drupal, and familiarity with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, Rest API, and UI/UX design fundamentals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including writing for the web and online platforms.
Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, dashboards, and other data/database management tools. Total Rewards/Benefits
