What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor/HVAC position at BECO?

As the Maintenance Supervisor at Alexander Heights, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team by example to ensure our residents have friendly, fast, high quality maintenance service for their homes. You will interact with residents in their homes and throughout the community.

A bit more about what you’re going to do:
- Hire, train, develop and supervise the maintenance team to ensure adequate execution of community maintenance tasks.
- Timely completion of routine repairs, maintenance requests, and work orders throughout the community.
- Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule.
- Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and interiors.
- Conduct exterior rounds to ensure proper functioning of systems and equipment, structure integrity of buildings, condition of grounds, etc.
- Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, repairs, work orders, work-in- progress, apartment make-ready status, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
- Recommend supplies to purchase. Assist in processing invoices and purchase orders expeditiously.
- Maintain open and collaborative communication with office staff.
- Manage and participate in rotating on-call duty, including weekends and holidays and snow removal during winter months.
Are you what we’re looking for?
- Ideally, you have five years of related experience in apartment maintenance and some supervisory experience.
- A certification/licensure in HVAC / Universal EPA is required.
- A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required for this position.
- The drive to provide exceptional customer service with every interaction
