Bed Bath & Beyond is actively seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our Supply Chain team. The role will sit in our Union, NJ headquarters.
This position is responsible for providing analytical and procedural support regarding Bed Bath & Beyond’s NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback programs, and trade Customs compliance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for NAFTA/USMCA, duty drawback and Supply Chain data analysis and reporting, maintenance of these reporting systems, development of new systems, and system documentation.
- Provide analysis of NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback and Supply Chain reports to the management team to help enhance duty recovery.
- Support data mining functions to create and develop insightful presentations on the status of each element of the NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback programs and Supply Chain.
- Conduct cost analysis for select NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback and Supply Chain initiatives.
- Provide support to Corporate Supply Chain team in the development and streamlining of reporting functions both through Access, Excel, SQL, etc. applications.
- Partner with Field Logistics Teams, internal business divisions, 3rd party service providers, and other external Supply Chain partners to help find ways to drive costs out of the Supply Chain through more in-depth, accurate, and effective reporting.
- Create/present relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) related to service provider performance (i.e. brokers, carriers, etc.) and NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback filings/recovery
- Build effective relationships with key internal (i.e. Supply Chain, Finance, Buying Office, IT, etc.), and external (i.e. vendors, brokers, etc.) stakeholders
- Act as technical liaison between BBB Supply Chain, vendors and brokers regarding NAFTA/USMCA and duty drawback related activities (i.e. new government rules and regulations, etc.) to ensure any issues/concerns are identified and resolved in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Degree is required; preferably with a focus on Supply Chain, Logistics, Analytics, or International Trade.
- 2+ years of work experience is highly desired; preferably within the import and/or brokerage related field.
- Strong skill set in relational database problem solving including experience in ad-hoc reporting and analysis using Access and Excel.
- Strong PC skills required, with an emphasis on Microsoft Office products (i.e. Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Solid understanding of general supply chain systems/processes is preferred.
