BEDO Brands is a collection of brands that focuses on hospitality and the wedding industry, including Bon Bon Belle Bridal Boutique, Mercantile Hall Event Venue, and 10 South Event Venue.
BEDO Brands is a growth-focused company with plans to add additional venue and retail units. We are looking for an experienced and organized Project Manager to assist with this expansion effort and help BEDO Brands achieve its growth goals. We are headquartered in Burlington, WI and the Project Manager will be expected to office from HQ and travel between locations, domestically, and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Applicants can expect to work 40 hours per week in this salaried role.
Role Description: This role will serve as Project Manager for new unit expansion while also supporting projects at existing retail and venue units.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Expansion Team Project Management
· Create and maintain relationships with brokers in all target areas.
· Lead site selection efforts for new units.
· Perform strategic analysis on prospective locations, including serving as liaison with city leadership.
· Meet with prospective city officials and other local business owners to understand the city’s business climate and pitch our offering to the city.
· Serve as Project Manager for expansion to include coordination of meetings, circulating updates, and managing accountabilities of all Expansion Team contributors.
· Serve as architectural & commercial design expert for new units, managing the creation of the design specification document, overseeing code compliance, serve as the liaison for historic and city tax credits (when available), etc.
· Lead weekly meetings with construction team updating project plan and budget accordingly.
· Coordinate with third party inspectors, regulatory agencies, state licensing, etc. to facilitate inspections, approvals and certifications.
· Conduct regular inspections and audits of jobsite, materials, and workmanship to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
· Manage budget, tracking project costs and documenting change orders with all parties.
· Manage and approve contractor payments and draws.
· Execute all projects on time and on-budget.
Facility Support Project Management
· Support existing locations’ facility projects, overseeing bids and execution.
· Identify and execute design solutions to mitigate on-site challenges.
· Coordinate (or execute on own if simple projects) the assembly and building of new furniture or facility improvements as needed.
Retail Operations Project Management
· Support retail stores by providing detailed monthly in-store product knowledge training.
· Work with BEDO U to document evergreen training modules.
· Conduct analysis and produce performance reports for Buying Team.
· Participate and contribute to B3 L10 meetings.
· Follow up with Managers regarding outstanding project deliverables.
· Conduct store walk throughs at each retail location to assess & provide feedback on visual merchandising & POS tactics.
· Attend buy trips 4-5x annually, contributing toward the success of the buy. Potential travel to Asia, Europe, and domestic travel up to 20%.
· Assist with exploration and implementation of new retail revenue-driving projects.
· Serve as Project Manager for ad hoc retail projects.
