What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Aide position at Bedrock Care?
Williamsport - North is looking for Recreation Aides to complete our team!
Availability: FULL TIME: 12pm-8pm, weekends, and holidays.
The Recreation Aide (Activities Aide) provides therapeutic activities to residents that are designed to meet the interests and to improve the physical, mental and psycho-social well-being of each resident according to the comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. Individual resident programs assist the resident to maintain lifelong interests and self-esteem while promoting physical, cognitive and emotional functioning. The Rec Aide provides activities in accord with the facility policies and procedures and consistent with state and federal laws and regulations.
Education/Training/Work Experience:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field preferred or completion of Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part I.
Work Experience: One year supervised experience in a health care setting providing therapeutic activities to individuals.
