The Contract Analyst works in conjunction with the Materials Management team to provide contract analysis and apply drill-down methods to verify and validate contract optimization and opportunities. This position will support the organizational goals, increasing on contract volume and overall savings. This level will report analyses to Purchasing but may have the opportunity to report and present directly to other personnel or groups of people. The Contract Analyst will investigate and follow-through on contract issues managing all portions of the contracting workflow. Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years contract analysis experience in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and participate in all components of the solicitation and negotiations of contracting (including expected outcome measures, costs, contracts performance, acceptance/rejection terms, contract dates, and contact information).
- Assesses the value of new or renegotiated contracts, measured by Group Purchasing Organization (GPO).
- Reviews cost/benefit analysis to determine contracts providing maximum use of technology.
- Works with various Lawson and GPO tools and resources to proactively identify cost saving opportunities through product/contract conversions, and price parity throughout the system.
- Monitor contract tier levels and overall contract participation activities to assure correct and accurate pricing. Monitor contracted supplier performance.
- Institutes procedures to ensure efficient administration of contracts, including appropriate filing and record management and professional purchasing practices and techniques.
- Track and validate rebate payments and discount calculations as per contract terms.
- Perform analysis of Beebe Healthcare data using department technology; identifies opportunities for supply chain savings. Utilizes price benchmarking databases.
- Conduct research and analysis including evidence for specifically targeted supply chain opportunities. Provide written reports supporting recommendation.
- Review contract compliance improvement opportunities at the organizational and departmental levels.
- All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
