School-Based Wellness Centers are physically located in schools and provide high-quality care to students, helping them overcome obstacles to receiving care, such as: lack of transportation, inconvenient appointment times, or concerns about cost/confidentiality. The centers provide comprehensive medical and mental health care, treatment, and health education to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Our centers are operated by a partnership among Beebe Healthcare, Indian River, Cape Henlopen, Sussex Central Sussex Tech School districts, and the Delaware Division of Public Health, Department of Health and Social Services.
The Program Manager oversees all operations of the centers, including but not limited to: program planning and delivery of services to include compliance with regulatory/licensing requirements, fiscal viability, communication and outreach efforts, information services, billing and coding opportunities, and strategic planning for future growth.
Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive student wellness prevention and awareness efforts, with tactics, including but not limited to: presentations, monthly awareness events, workshops, trainings, and more. These awareness efforts may take place on evenings or weekends
Conduct assessment activities to acquire relevant data about prevalence, attitudes and perceptions about wellness issues, and the influence of environmental factors that contribute to student wellness
Serve on School-based committees, as appropriate, responsible for shaping policies and programs that address student wellness needs
Provide operational and strategic context to support grand funding
Demonstrate cultural competence and inclusiveness when develop programs and initiatives that promote student wellness
Work to eliminate or modify environmental factors that contribute to wellness issues in the school and surrounding community
Provide leadership and program management to initiatives, with a primary goal to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction
Manage direct reports, serving as supervisor and helping to set goals, objectives, professional development. Work with HR resources as needed
Periodically report financial variances and support budgeting process, facilitating program growth, sustainability, and fiscal accountability
Organize monthly staff and faculty-appropriate meetings to drive teamwork, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Facilitate connections for educational programs for the school community and community outreach, as well as site tours
Ensure staff provides quality clinical care and maintains documentation pursuant to the requirements of insurance and billing requirements using ICD0-10 / CPT coding with appropriate clinically-justified diagnostic criteria
Coordinate with population health and primary care resources the transition of care to community setting and follow ups. This includes maintaining knowledge of community resources and providers

Essential:Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience & Education Required
Bachelor degree required in Healthcare, Social work, MHA, MS/MA in Counseling or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Mental Health (LPCMH)
3-5 years of supervisory experience managing a team in a medical office or hospital like setting.
Preferred
Master's degree in public health, health education, social work, higher education and student affairs, women/gender studies, or a related field
